Salvation

Salvation

The Bad News

Is that we are sinful, and our sins separate us from God, because He is Holy. Because God is Good, and a righteous judge, he must demand a price be paid for transgression.

The Good News

The grace of God is so great that He sent His only Son down to earth as a man to live a life without sin, and take the punishment for our sins by dying in our place. In death, Jesus paid the price, but even more wonderful is that He rose from the dead, and conquered death! When we repent of our sins, ask for forgiveness, the grace of God saves us, our sins are washed away, and we receive everlasting life and have peace between ourselves and God. Our Saviour is Alive, and took the pain and punishment we deserved.

Romans 10:9-10 says:

That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

To receive God’s gift of salvation, pray this prayer from your heart:

Dear Jesus,

I believe that You are the Son of God, that You died for my Sins, and that God raised You from the dead. Forgive me of my sins, cleanse me. I turn away from what I know is wrong and desire to follow after you wholeheartedly. Come into my heart and be Lord of my life today.

In Jesus’ Name

Amen

II Corinthians 5:17 says:

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.

You are no longer the person you were. God sees you as a new creation, washed clean, and you are adopted as His child.
